Beading started

I have finally started to bead my August piece. I set out all the beads that might want to go on this piece (I showed them here) and sprinkled a few beads around until some ideas started to gel. One idea that stuck in my mind was to make a raised rim/edge around the leaf, so I picked two beads to start that. Then I went through my Nymo (my thread of choice) and picked the green thread to use. It turns out that the stitch I came up with is something I would call a continuous moss stitch. Here is a close up shot - if you have another name for this stitch, I'd love to know it!
While I am beading, I am thinking about oak trees and why they are so appealing to me. According to this website , people whose favorite tree is the oak tree are described as: "Courageous, strong, unrelenting, independent, sensible, does not love change, keeps his/her feet on the ground, person of action." Interesting description and I think it fairly accurately describes how I view myself.
