Here are the results of my sunpainting. Luckily there was enough sun to produce the leaf impressions. I remembered during this brief painting/artist's date, how much I love fabric painting and promised myself that I would do more of it in September, when the children are back to school. If you want to read more about Setacolor Sunpainting, there are good tutorials here and here.
Now I have the problem of having four background pieces that I like! How to decide??
I eliminated the bottom right green piece because the leaf is too big. It is the size of my finished measurements (8 1/2" x 10") , which doesn't leave me enough room to do the beaded border that I have sketched.
So that narrows it down to 3. I don't think that the pink colours in the bottom left are reminiscent of August, so I will eliminate that one.
Which leave the top 2. They were made with the same leaf - the leaf blew off of the blue one, and I used it again. Both of these two say "August" to me. So now I think I will root around in my bead box, see which beads speak to me, and then let them decide which background they like the best!
