I had time to finish the beading on the outside of the edge of the leaf, a stitch that I really enjoyed doing. Then I beaded the centre stem and the prominent veins of the leaf. After finishing that, I didn't like the look of the centre stem anymore, and have decided I need to
strengthen that centre line more.
strengthen that centre line more.I did a little bit of research and found out that my leaf came from a Northern Red Oak tree. On the left is a photo of how the leaves will look in about 4 weeks (photo from the Wikipedia site)...sure wish I could see my trees then!
