tasks. I decided this week to start my February piece because I am really in the mood to bead some hearts, which of course is the February theme! In selecting my fabric base, I realized how much I love the swirl motif. It appears in many of my quilts and paintings but I never really noticed it before like I did when trying to pick a February base. So this is the base, cut out of a much larger piece of fabric. Part of the remaining piece will be the backing.
Then I pin basted and quilted it following the painted lines. Now comes the fun part...my favorite...auditioning the beads. And I have the perfect ambience to start the beading...my friend Louise is coming to visit! I will relax and enjoy beading hearts, while delighting in a visit from my long time friend.

Oh, those lines and the HEARTS are awesome - I can't wait to see which beads win the audition!

This is SUCH a YUMMY beginning... I can't wait to see where it goes... snowflakes or hearts... either will be beautiful!
