but I call that "finished". It's so strange to me when I finally see the finished piece on the computer screen and discover that it doesn't look anything like it does in my mind! On the screen I see that the boxes are tilted slightly to the left! I never noticed that before! And the background fabric really is quite distracting and busier than I had thought. Maybe it's just the photo and I'll see what happens when I take a photo in daylight.I put some "Swarovski Margarita beads" (thanks to Grace who told me what these beads are called!) in the centres of 9 of the boxes (I only had 9 of the purples ones!).
Anyway I did a simple purple beaded loop
around the outside and ran out of beads after 3 sides. So on the bottom I alternated some new purple beads and decided to hang a fringe with brown discs for grounding. I love these discs that I bought at Beads of Colour in Dundas, Ontario. The owner Debi brought them back from her trip to Africa last year. I see on the website that she has been to Tuscon, so I'll have to go shopping sometime soon!

Doesn't it amaze you how the camera sees things differently from the eye? Several of my pages that looked straight to me, looked crooked in pics. ???
This page turned our very nice. I like it.

I get very frustrated with my photography too. There are all sorts of factors that can throw off the image and I don't have the patience to learn how to cope with them all!
Congrats on finishing this piece. It sounds like it was a real struggle so it has to feel good to have it done finally. I especially like the fringe on the bottom edge.
I am constantly amazed by the journey between my inner pictures and what the camera finally captures of finished pieces or work in progress. I really love the groundcloth you have chosen for this page. And thank you so much for your kind and generous remarks on my blog!
